Landis and doping

Ok, if this is true, then so be it and Landis will deserve what he gets.  But I wonder if this doesn’t add any credibility to Lance Armstrong’s story last year that the anti-doping agency was out to get him.  Could they be so anti-American that they would pull a false positive here too?  I’m not reading anything that implies this – I’m just asking the question.  Any takers?

I swapped emails with a friend that knows more about this than I do.  His regret was that they publish this before the “b” sample is tested.  So, if that one comes up negative, there will always be this cloud over the win now, which isn’t really fair.

I’m glad I asked his opinion.  He’s a little more objective than I am, I guess.  My knee jerk reaction is that this is a smear campaign. Time will tell.

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
