Dayton Air Show, here we come

Ok, it is only Friday evening, but I’m already stoked and ready to go to the Dayton Air Show on Sunday. The weather looks like it will cooperate.  It’s going to be hot, but hey, it is July!

The heritage flight is going to be a P-38 Lightning and an F-16 Falcon.  History of the Heritage flight can be found here.

In this article, a Dayton News photographer talks about his ride in Blue Angel No. 7.  He admits to losing it once against the G’s.  I’ve often wondered how I would do.  Probably not much better, but I’d love to give it a go.  Pictures after the flight (um, he looks a little queasy!)

This video from the local TV station shows a local celebrity going up.  Fun stuff!

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
