Story time with aviators

I saw this in the local paper today.  The Friday before the airshow, the Thunderbird pilots, and some other flying veterans, are going to share their air adventures in a fundraiser for kids’ surgeries.  Deb and I are going to see if we can rearrange some schedules and maybe attend.  This sounds like a lot of fun.  I could listen to pilot stories for quite a while.  Which reminds me – Deb’s grandfather was a pilot during WWII.  I should post some of his stories here too.

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
