Air Race News: 9/9/06

Rumors are starting to circulate now, and the buzz has started on the ramp at Stead Airport, the site of the Reno Air Races.  First up, this update on the Thunder Mustang of John Parker.  Oh yeah, despite some rumors, he is there and ready to race!

Victor Archer has some shots of the T-shirts he is printing for the races this year.  I’ll have to order mine.  He’s got some great ones this year.

There is an update on Red Bull’s P-38.  Recall previous posts, this was Lefty’s old P-38. Kind of a bummer it won’t be staying in the States.  Fans are happy the plane is being put back together though, so we’ll take that sad news with a lump of sugar.

And it seems that RARA has backed down a bit on the water situation.  Reasonable amounts are now allowed, based on this post.

Man, I’m going to miss being in Reno this week.  Oh well!

"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." Mark Twain

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on:
