Rare Bear fans, and fans in general like me, will bummed to hear this. To highlight the most important part from Wayne on the AAFO board:  but just got word from field from Griffon Girl… Rare Bear went up, took the clock, got a qualifying speed (Unknown at this time how fast) then POPPED and mayday’d out...  Another post has an unofficial speed of 458.  Like I posted earlier, the AAFO message board has the best up to date news I’ve been able to find on the net for the Air Racing fans.

Last word I read on qualifications was that Dago Red did not qualify.  So, the team is hoping to be an alternate if another plane drops out, and will have to race through the from the back of the bronze races and work their way up.

Qualification results were posted, and we had a tie for 5th in the Unlimited.  The Top 5 are supposed to sit out Wednesday’s racing

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
