The mechanics that work on Rare Bear were a key part of this article.  There is some more information about the plane, owner, and crew on this post at AAFO.  The fact that most of the defending champions did not enter, or qualify, is the focus of this article.  The RGJ recap of Wednesday qualifying is here.

Pictures of the three plane Thunder Mustang formation as they arrived last night at Reno Stead Airport.

Here is a cool picture of a Formula One racer during a late night run up.

Dago Red is standing down?  Too much metal in the oil pan. That could make a grown man cry.

And here, I asked the guys on the forum to educate me on the Sports Class.  We’ll see what we learn from it.

Precious Metal, The Super Corsair, Polar Bear and others were on the ramp today for the Medallion race.

"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." Mark Twain

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on:
