Fall in Indianapolis

I got some time off for next week.  The family want to enjoy some time in Brown County before it gets too cold while on Fall Break from school.  I can do that!  If you want an idea what we see in Indiana during the fall, check out this post, and this post, found via Indianapolis Bloggers.  I’ll admit that I miss the Sierra Nevadas and the smell of pine trees at times (I grew up in Reno) but you never see fall colors like this in Nevada.  And, in case you are wondering why I don’t post pictures like that, it is because I can’t TAKE pictures like that!

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
