Air racer Rare Bear changes ownership

Yesterday – the Rare Bear website announced that the airplane now has new ownership.  The air racing community thinks this is a good thing – and it is alluded to in the post on the website also – since Rare Bear struggled with proper financing in the past.  I’m not close enough to offer an opinion, since I’ve just started following the sport again, but you can read all the speculation, if interested, here.  Rare Bear has been a champion airplane many times at Reno and has a spectatular history as a racer.  So, here’s to hoping for future successes to be added to the team’s great history.

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
