Canadian Snowbirds

American demo teams have six jets.  The Canadians have nine.  If you have never seen a nine jet demo team, and the formations they can perform, you’ve missed something amazing.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m very proud of our Blue Angels and Thunderbirds.  Nine jet formations are different, and require a lot of skill also – so we’ll give these guys a post.  You can watch this video for a montage of some of there formations.

11/21 Udate:  The Snowbirds announced a new commanding officer for the updoming season this morning.

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
