Happy New Year!  I hope for all of you it has started well.

True to my word, I started the picture a day project.  Day 1 – the broken refrigerator.  Yes, our three year old refrigerator decided not to stay cold any more on New Years Day.  Very convenient!  Fortunately, we weren’t hosting any events for the day.  Day 2 was my birthday and the picture is compliments of my wife who bought me a very cool gift – I’m going on a discovery flight at a local flight school.  I’ll get that scheduled soon and I’m sure there will be a post about that when it happens.  I’m so looking forward to that!

Day 1                            Day 2

So, here’s the link to the photo essay (is that whay I should call it?).  We’ll get it added to the links on the sidebar soon too.

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
