I saw this while watching the news last night.  The Fisher house is a place for the families of the injured veterans to stay while their loved ones recover from injuries they have sustained in Iraq or Afghanistan.  Mr Fisher deserves some serious praise.  What a work of love.  (Update: @16:20 on the newscast link below)

What Brian Williams said in his blog.

Last nights newscast (not posted yet) also had a segment on the soldiers that were killed in the Blackhawk that went down in Iraq this week.  Yep, they had lives just like you and me.  May their families find the peace they seek.

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
