Reno Film Festival: Thunder of Dreams

This may not interest those of us who live here in Indianapolis; however, the few folks in Reno who read my blog will enjoy this info, if they don’t know it already.

“Dasher” (she’s also an Air Racer, bi-plane class) posted this on the thread I started about the movie Thunder Over Reno on Air Show Buzz website.  I figured it was worth sharing:

/Quote from her post:  The movie [Thunder Over Reno] will not be shown today at the Reno Film Festival.

What will be shown is a 22 minute “short” about the “Making of the Movie”. (details below and at URL)

Thunder of Dreams (2007)
Not Rated
TRT: 22 minutes
Director: Mitch Carley
Producers: Mitch Carley, Robert Odegaard, Rob Challans, Tim McPherson
Writing Credits: Mitch Carley, Steven A. Jones

“Thunder Of Dreams” is a short film about another film, “Thunder Over Reno.” Both the short and soon-to-be feature films are handsome productions featuring the world-famous Reno National Championship Air Races. The feature, “Thunder Over Reno,” is currently in post-production and the current plan is to premiere this film later this year, hopefully in Reno. Not a documentary but a film with amazing aerial footage about the Reno National Championship Air Races, the film’s co-writer, director and co-producer, Mitch Carley, as well as another co-producer and professional pilot, Bob Odegaard, will host the short and discuss the making of their feature film during this special screening. One person that has seen some of the footage exclaimed, “The visuals are spectacular!”

"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." Mark Twain

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on:
