A few nuggets to share

I can’t put good threads from the boards on my blog link, so I’ll share a couple of good ones real quick for today:

1.  Thunderbirds Name Next #1 For 08/09.

2. Fleet Week in SFO is under attack again.  The anti-military types want to ban the Blue Angels and other Fleet Week activities claiming they cause too much noise and put the population at risk.  You can share your thoughts about that, if you like, on this thread.

3.  More on Operation Bolero II.  That’s the mission where Glacier Girl will be flying from the U.S. to England over Greenland.  Operation Bolero failed in WWII due to weather, and The Lost Squadron ended up being buried in ice.  Glacier Girl, thus far, is the only plane recovered from that failed mission.

"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." Mark Twain

Quote 2

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
