Red Baron History

AAFO is a gold mine for the air racing fan. Today is a good example. Some one posted this link today where you can find a treasure chest of information on the Red Baron Air Racing Team.  The Red Baron was one of my favorite planes while I grew up in Lemmon Valley, NV (Stead’s neighboring valley).  I loved those counter-rotating propellars!  I’ve shared before that the planes flew right over my house on their first lap for the Unlimited and AT-6 races.  Whoo-eee!  What a sound!

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
