Reno Air Races: Great photos

The AAFO folks have already started posting some great shots.  Got some good ones of the Canadian Snowbirds there as well.  Here is another thread with some from the fence line.  T-6s here.  And a few from the ramp.

And while I’m here, let me throw in these nuggets:

Sportsmanship.  After reviewing film and cooling off some, Matt Jackson shares why he withdrew his protest after the Gold race.  Eating crow is never easy.  I think this was very classy!

And here, we get to see the “proud papa” moment of Gary Hubler, a pilot who will be sorely missed.  Very cool to see stories like this posted.

From Marine Corps Chaplain Father Dennis O'Brien: "It is the soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag." found on: www.robreider.com
